READINGS & RESOURCES ON ABOLITION & REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE

Compiled by: Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Justice, A project of Advocates for Youth

Care Not Cages is a project about the intersection of reproductive justice and prison abolition, spearheaded by the Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Justice Leadership Council, in partnership with BYP100, URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity, and Black & Pink. We believe that no one deserves to be in a cage. As reproductive justice means that people should have what they need to parent their children and to have healthy and safe families – and prisons stand in opposition to happy, healthy families – we believe that reproductive justice is in direct alignment with the struggle for prison abolition. Please use this document to learn more about the intersection of these two movements.
