LPFDev recognises the barriers and challenges that ‘people of colour’ face within the development sector. We work towards addressing and combating these through:
- Providing practical solutions
- Contributing to the reform of current discriminatory policy frameworks and practices in the sector
- Providing a safe platform for open and candid discussions
- Collective activism within the global community
GOAL
- To move from ‘talking’ and towards creating practical change in the development sector
OBJECTIVES
- Influence concrete reform in the current policy framework and practices in the development sector
- Ensure that the voices of ‘people of colour’ in the development sector are amplified and not suppressed
- Promote pathways for opportunities for ‘people of colour’ within the development sector
